John 10:14-15 - ““I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me— just as the Father knows me and I know the Father—and I lay down my life for the sheep.”

From the Director
Twenty-five years ago Westside Ministries began teaching neighborhood children a different way of life though Jesus Christ. Bible clubs met in our home, volunteers came to teach and love and God blessed. 40 came… then 60 then 90. Suddenly 200 came weekly. The ministry moved, using church social halls and Sunday school classrooms. The ministry grew, as did the vision. 4H, dance classes, a library all become a part of the vision. Property was donated and a youth center was built and quickly outgrown.
Over 600 youth, children come weekly to activities ranging from 4H gardening to advanced ballet. The Bible continues to be taught by volunteers who disciple 300 weekly. Currently Westside Ministries has a 5,500 sq. ft. dance facility for the “Center for Urban Performance and Service” with community support. Adults in recovery and 4H will also have a place to meet.
The process continues. My faith has grown as young people who were lost and in bondage walk in an find freedom in Jesus Christ. Children dance and sing with freedom. Fruits and vegetables have been grown with care. Lives have been built! And with your help… it’s only just begun!
